APPLICATION
As a sterntube lubricant where face seals and non-circulatory oil feed systems are fitted.

SPECIAL PROPERTIES
1) Forms emulsions with water which may enter the sterntube. The emulsion increases in viscosity as the proportion of water increases. Oil loss can thus be reduced if the sealing unit is damaged. Emulsions continue to lubricate and protect against corrosion.

2) Adheres to metal and is not readily washed off.

3) Minimises the rate of oil leakage passed a damaged or worn aft seal.
