Gear Lubrication Performance

Thruster:
Nakashima Stone Vickers TC-145N
Problem:
Water ingress started to occur in March
Solution:
HYDROX 8EP introduced in June
Result:
15 months later the vessel was dry docked and the thruster unit dismantled. On inspection all gears, shafts, bearings and other metal parts were found to be in good condition.
